“How to Build Your Own Affiliate Marketing Funnel and Solid Business in plain English”
Let me share with you a proven system for creating a solid affiliate marketing business and making money online.
And lets NOT complicate things, ok?
1. We start from picking the easiest and sustainable business model. In order for you to earn online you need to sell products. Its obvious. What is not that obvious is that, firstly, it is way more easier to start from selling digital or informational products over the internet from the comfort of your home than shipping real stuff and goods via snail mail and, secondly, you don’t even have to sell your own stuff. You can just promote other people’s products for a good percent of the profit. It’s called affiliate marketing.
So we’ve come to understanding that selling other people’s stuff for a commission is our business model and easy start for a newcomer. And even for a seasoned marketer its still very profitable and wise strategy to grow a business, just because of sheer income potential of affiliate promotions with almost zero time or money down, comparing to what it usually takes for creating your own product, testing it, promoting it, providing customer service etc.
2. Next step is to find a product to promote. The main requirement is that it should sell and sell well. You don’t need spending your own time & money testing whether someone’s product is actually selling good, so you main criteria is that your pick should have a proven sales record. You can find thousands of such products online which are offered to affiliates to sell and earn commissions by searching for “affiliate programs” or joining affiliate networks like Clickbank, that already has thousands of merchants, affiliates and products to choose from in their marketplace. If you login to the marketplace your can browse through their products by category and range them by Gravity (parameters which basically say how good this or that product sells). The higher Gravity is, the more affiliates successfully sell this product, so pick any one with the Gravity higher than 50 and you are safe.
3. Third step is to build a review website, but let me calm you down, you don’t need any technical or design skills to do this. There are hundreds of free website building services online, which can help you publish your own site in a matter of minutes. One of the easiest option is setting up a free WordPress blog with a design template you like. Fortunately there are thousands of them available online.
What you need is just content (several articles describing the product you promote) and you are done.
If you already have your own web, then there is probably not much new I can tell you about publishing one. You can use the one you have if the theme of your site comparable with the product you promote (it would be even preferable) or just create a new one.
4. Final step is promotion. As you can guess without people, ordering your affiliate product, there is no action and no money to earn for you, so you need to drive targeted traffic to your review pages. By targeted I mean visitors who are interested in your product or even willing to order it right away. In this case, closing a sale would be a blast for you.
Two sources of targeted traffic that I recommend are:
1) Pay-per-click advertising (Google Adwords, MSN Adcenter etc) where you pay for each visitor, who clicks on your ad and visits your review site
2) Informational promotion (article marketing, press release submissions, social marketing etc.) The more you spread different pieces of information over the internet about your site, the more targeted visitors will eventually come to your site.
